The Cadarn Housing Group was established as Newydd Housing Association in 1974.
In 1998, a group structure was formed with the Cadarn Housing Group as the parent company and Newydd Housing Association as a subsidiary.

homes and sustainable communities with excellent services, to tenants and customers’. We currently provide 2,500 affordable

Cadarn Housing Group offer information technology services to housing associations and Supporting People organisations
across the UK. Our award-winning computer software SPriNT, is a cost-efficient and easy to use database that is used by more

Care and Repair in the Vale of Glamorgan
Cadarn Housing Group, together with the Welsh Assembly Government and Vale of Glamorgan Council part fund Care and Repair
in the Vale of Glamorgan as well as deliver the scheme for the area. It is one of a network of Care and Repair services
across Wales that enable older home-owners to have work carried out to their homes whether it is a repair, renovation or adaptation.
Clients are supported in obtaining estimates for work, identifying funding that may be available and overseeing contractors.
We can also act as a grant agent for clients who are eligible for a disabled facilities grant.
A Handyperson Service that undertakes small jobs is also run by Care and Repair where the labour is free and clients only
pay for materials. We also work in partnership with the Vale of Glamorgan Council through the Small Adaptations Project
within Social Services, and fit keysafes for people who require Social Services assistance.
