Who are we
The Cadarn Information Services team is made up of a range of highly qualified IT
specialists with knowledge and experience of working within the housing sector.
This understanding of the market enables the team to deliver effective,
practical solutions for all your IT needs.
The team currently consists of:
Richard, Head of Information Services
The Head of Information Services since February 2004, having previously been IT
Manager for British Airways Long Haul Engineering Based at Cardiff Wales Airport
for six years. Before that thirteen years in the Civil Service working in a
number of departments; Inland Revenue, DVLA and HM Treasury. Coming from a
Systems background working with IBM and ICL mainframes, Unix systems, Ingres and
Oracle databases.
Major projects include; Migration from ICL mainframe to Unix system for the
Office for National Statistics, Year 2000 Compliance Management for British
Airways, SPriNT application development for Cadarn.
A member of the British Computer Society, with a BSc(Hons) degree in Computing
and a Microsoft Certified Professional. Currently undertaking a Masters Degree
in Business Administration.
Matthew, Information Services Operations Manager
Matthew is responsible for maintaining the internal IT infrastructure for the
Cadarn Housing group and providing a range of technical consultation and
implementation services for Cadarn’s external clients.
He has worked as an IT professional for over nine years gaining valuable
experience in a number of IT disciplines and working on over one hundred
projects with clients from all industry sectors. Specific areas of expertise are
project management, consultancy, training, network administration, application
development and database administration.
Matthew has been MCSE qualified since 2001.
Sarah, Information Services Project Manager
Sarah has worked for the Cadarn Information Services department for 7 years
having graduated with a BSc (Hons) Business Information Management Systems from
the University of Plymouth.
Sarah currently provides support for internal and external clients on a range of
IT software.
Richard, Information Services Officer (Welsh Speaker)
Richard Hodges worked for 8 years at British Airways after having graduated with
a BSc(Hons) in Computer Studies from the university of Glamorgan, Pontypridd,
before moving to Cadarn in 2005.
He now works in Cadarn as an Information Services Officer providing support for
various systems to Cadarn and Newydd as well as some external clients.
Ian, Information Services Assistant
Previous to joining the Cadarn Information Services Support Team, Ian worked on a
software development project for ChurchSafety; an established leader in
providing Health and Safety support to Churches and Places of Worship throughout
the UK. He then joined Solectron, a company who specialise in fixing laptop
computers before moving to the Cadarn Housing Group as Information Services
Assistant.
A member of both the British Computing Society and the Institute of Engineering
and Technology, Ian also has a BSc(Hons) in Computing.
